Strategic Aim
Develop, prototype and test affordable loitering munitions and small UCAS (5 km – 200 km) that can be mass-produced, swarm-enabled and resilient to electronic warfare, while fully integrating Ukrainian battlefield lessons and widening EDTIB participation via Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP).
Eligible Activities (Art. 10 §3 EDF Regulation)
1. Studies – mandatory feasibility & industrialisation studies.
2. Design – mandatory preliminary & detailed system design.
3. System Prototyping – mandatory TRL-7 demonstrator(s).
4. Testing – mandatory in relevant environment incl. EW hardening.
5. Integrating Knowledge – *optional but recommended* analysis of battlefield data, standards & C2 integration.
6. Qualification & Certification – optional.
7. Lifecycle Efficiency – optional digital-thread, modularity, secure supply-chain actions.
Financial Support to Third Parties (Cascade Funding)
* Minimum 3 / Maximum 10 recipients.
* Up to €60 000 each, ≤ 6 months support period.
* Focus on SMEs/start-ups from your country, EDF associated states and Ukraine bringing disruptive tech (AI navigation, low-cost warheads, secure comms, etc.).
